Rod Nam Dum Hua- Songkran celebration at Walailak coordination unit, Bangkok

Faculties and staffs at WUICD and Walailak coordination unit in Bangkok lead by Prof. Dr. Sittichai Koontongkaew acting dean of WUICD celebrated traditional Thai new year “Songkran” by organised the asking for the forgiveness and blessing ceremony (“ Rod Nam Dum Hua”) from WU President, Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of University Council, Prof. Dr. Wijit Srisa-arn and other senior council members and faculties. This ancient ritual involves young people pouring rose and jasmine scented water into the palms of the elders to ask for humility and to ask for their blessings. This is the first time that WU coordination unit in Bangkok held the celebration. The festive was enjoyed by all.
